◆本編あらすじ
ある夜、村長の屋敷へ招かれた兄のイオと妹のケイは【冥婚】という村の因習の話を聞かされる。
それは50年に1度、村の若い娘を亡者に捧げるというものだった。
そして、その儀式に妹のケイが選ばれたことを告げられた2人。

イオはケイを先に村から逃がして、自分も後を追うつもりでいた。
しかし、先に逃げたはずのケイが山で滑落して瀕死の状態でイオの前に連れられる。

ケイの惨状に呆然とするイオに、村人たちはある条件を提示した。
『お前が身代わりになるというなら、ケイを助けてやる。ただし、お前は逃げても抵抗してもならん。いいな？』

―――ケイを生かしてもらうため、イオは即座に頷いた……。

◆Synopsis of the main story
One night, my older brother Io and my younger sister Kei were invited to the village mayor’s mansion and heard about the village’s customs called “Marriage."
It was a case of devoting a young girl from the village to the dead once every 50 years.
The two are then told that their younger sister, Kei, had been chosen during the ceremony.

Io intended to let Kei escape from the village first, and he was planning to follow him too.
However, Kei, who was supposed to have escaped first, is slid down in the mountains and is on the verge of death and is taken to Io.

Io was stunned by Kei’s devastation, and the villagers presented certain conditions.
“If you’re going to be a substitute, I’ll help you.However, you can’t run away or resist.Is it okay?’
